“Nigiri” means squeeze, and “bass” means hands. Nigiri Basami are handcrafted steel tools that are useful in everyday life, such as scissors for sewing, crafts, or household tasks. Nigiri basami scissors are unique in that the spring action is integrated into the handle. Users hold them near the end opposite the blade and operate them like tweezers, controlling the force with the index finger and thumb. Because the blades are short, these tools are nimble and easy to use.
