三国提灯
Mikuni Chochin
福井県坂井市三国町で製造される提灯は、基本的には工程すべてを職人が手作業で行なっています。木型と竹ひごで形を作り、絵付けは手描き、その後天日で自然乾燥をさせています。三国提灯は、福井県の風土と県民の暮らしの中で育まれてきた、優れた工芸品として、県の指定郷土工芸品としても認められています。
In Mikuni-cho, Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, craftsmen make these traditional lanterns by hand, shaping each one using wooden molds and bamboo sticks, painting them by hand, and then leaving them to dry naturally in the sun. Mikuni lanterns are excellent crafts that have been nurtured in the climate and lifestyle of Fukui Prefecture and are recognized by the prefecture as designated local crafts.
