Kaga Ningyo

Kaga Ningyo, along with Fushimi and Tsutsumi dolls, are among the finest Japanese clay dolls. Originating from Nagasaki, these dolls reflect the city's unique local color and international influences from the Edo period. They often depict figures such as Chinese residents and Dutch traders, highlighting the port's role in foreign trade. Kaga Ningyo are known for their use of bold primary colors (red, white, yellow, black) and their simple yet charming designs, creating a distinctive and warm ambiance.
