Shinobi Koma

花巻地方で古くから縁結びや子孫繁栄、五穀豊穣などの祈願の使い駒として円万寺観音に伝えられている藁の馬人形です。
素朴さが魅力で、稲わらでかたどられ、美しい布で飾られています。
裸の馬の状態で人目を忍んで祈願して、願いが叶った時に先に供えた馬をこっそり持ち帰り、美しい色布，鈴など華やかな飾り付けをしてお礼参りをするという風習もありました。

忍び駒 (Shinobi Koma) is a wooden spinning top. Crafted from wood, the process involves carving and shaping the top, followed by painting it with simple or intricate designs. Known for its balance and smooth spinning, the Shinobi Koma has been a popular toy for generations, symbolizing skill and precision in craftsmanship.
