所沢人形
Tokorozawa Ningyo
歴史は、江戸中期まで遡り、その原型ともいえる人形作りは、所沢で始まったといわれています。所沢人形は、江戸末期、嘉永2年（1849年）に3軒の業者によって始められ、その後、人形製造者が増えました。主に、着付けを得意とし雛の里として発展してきました。所沢市の工芸士によって作られる人形は技術と経験から1体1体手作りで、長い時間をかけて丹精こめて作られます。近年では、ただ作るだけではなく、その培った技術と経験から、和服の帯の生地で雛人形の衣装を製作したり、着物の布地で押絵羽子板を製作したりといった、新しいことを試みている工芸士もいます。
Tokorozawa Ningyo (所沢人形) are originating from Tokorozawa City in Saitama Prefecture.
