Kibori ningyo Junishi

Kibori Ningyo Junishi (木彫人形十二支) refers to intricately carved wooden figurines representing the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac (Junishi) in Japanese culture. Each figure embodies the characteristics and symbolism associated with its respective zo- diac sign, such as strength, intelligence, or loyalty. These hand- crafted dolls are often used as decorative items and are believed to bring good luck and fortune, especially when displayed during New Year's celebrations. The craftsmanship involved in creating Kibori Ningyo showcases the skill and artistry of traditional Japa- nese wood carving, making them cherished collectibles and cultural artifacts.
