Tangen Raden Ori fabric is inspired by nature and combines the beautiful shine of mother-of-pearl shells and fabric. Originating from the Tango in Kyoto Prefecture, a region that has an over 1300-year history as a traditional center for woven silk fabrics. Tangen Raden Ori requires craftsmen to slice mother-of-pearl shells into thin slices and laminate them onto handmade paper, where they are then cut into long strips used as thread. The final product is a stunning, flexible fabric that mimics the glistening and sparkle of the ocean.
