Tokamachi Gasuri is produced in Tokamachi City and Tsunanmachi Nakauonumagun, Niigata Prefecture and the surrounding area. The characteristic of Tokamachi Gasuri is the lustrous texture of the silk fabric with the patterns of Tategasuri (vertical splash) and Yokogasuri (horizontal splash).
