Nanbu Senmaya Tsumugi is a traditional silk fabric from the Senmaya area, said to originate from the Hiraizumi culture and revived in 1976. Known for its calm dye tones, soft texture, and wrinkle resistance, it follows a meticulous production process from raw silk to finished fabric. The region, once famed for its gold, silk, and horses, continues to uphold this heritage through the detailed steps of scouring, dyeing, warping, weaving, and finishing.
