Tamaori, the collective name of five different textiles depending on the weaving technique, originating in Hachioji, in Southwest Tokyo Prefecture; Tamaori includes “Tamayuki”, “Futsuori”, “Tsumugiori”, “Mojiriori” and “Tsuzure.” Tamaori, is made of silk thread and features intricate geometric patterns, all produced by hand producing a lightweight and wrinkle-resistant fabric.
