Kinugaraboutsumugi Kiryu Wafu is a handcrafted silk fabric made in Kiryu City using spinning techniques dating back to the 1940s. The silk is spun into soft, naturally uneven threads, then dyed with plant-based materials and woven on a hand loom. Every step—from spinning and twisting to dyeing and weaving—is done entirely by hand, resulting in a warm, organic textile with a gentle, natural feel.
