解し織
Hogushi Ori

Hogushi Ori is a traditional weaving technique believed to have originated from the Musou weaving method developed by Kanai Shigenojo in Awataya, Ashikaga, during the Meiwa and An’ei eras (1764–1772). This technique involves printing patterns directly onto the warp threads before weaving, which, when combined with the weft threads, creates intricate designs with depth and a three-dimensional effect.
