Takashima Chijimi Textiles

高島ちぢみは、滋賀県の近江・高島市が産地の織物です。ちぢみとは織物にシボ（凹凸）があるものを呼び、これらは織物に強力な撚りをかけて作られています。シボがあることで、肌に密着するのを防ぎ、吸汗性、速乾性に優れています。

Takashimachijimi cotton originates in Takashima city in Shiga prefecture. Chijimi is the unevenness of the surface created by twisting the fabric twice as much as the normal fabric. This creates less surface attached to the skin, making it breathable and light to wear.
