井波彫刻
INAMI Chokoku
富山県南栃市井波地区を中心に生産されている木彫り工芸品。荒彫りから仕上げ彫りまで200本以上のノミ、彫刻刀を駆使する高度な技術を持っています。250年以上の伝統の技を現代に生かし、欄間をはじめ獅子頭・天神様・衝立・パネルなどを作製しています。
In the Inami area of Minami Tochi City, Toyama Prefecture, craftsmen use advanced woodcarving techniques developed over more than 250 years to create ranma (transoms), lion heads, Tenjin shrines, folding screens, panels, and more. During the entire process from rough carving to finishing, a craftsman may use more than 200 different chisels and carving knives.
