吉野杉桶・樽
Yoshinosugioke Taru
年輪が揃い、木目が細かく美しい吉野杉を柾目に割り、乾燥させ、輪状に並べ、「たが」で締めて作られています。吉野杉の優美な味わいが愛好されています。奈良県伝統工芸品。
These wooden containers made of fragrant Yoshino cedar are a traditional craft of Nara Prefecture. Yoshino cedar has a fine grain and distinct annual rings, and craftsmen split it along the grain, then dry the pieces, arrange them into rings, and tighten them with a hoop to make various types of useful and durable containers.
