Osaka Senshu Kiri Tansu

大阪泉州は総桐箪笥発祥の地として300年の歴史を有し、伝統工芸品として経済産業大臣にも認定され、大阪泉州桐箪笥の9割以上が岸和田作られ作られています。良質の桐材を用いた大阪泉州桐箪笥は、使用する桐材が厚く、組手が多いこと、また、つくり、仕上げが丁寧なことを特徴としていることにより、桐箪笥の最高峰と称されています。

All-paulownia tansu chests have been made in Senshu, Osaka, for more than 300 years, and more than 90% of these chests are made in Kishiwada. Senshu tansu are known as the best of the best due to the quality and thickness of the paulownia wood used as well as the precise joinery and finishing. Osaka Senshi tansu has been designated as a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
