Biography
Born in Kyoto. After working in various design-related jobs, he opened the first kimono shop, "Kiji Takemi," on his own in 2003. In recent years, he has been active in promoting the revitalization and preservation of crafts and artisans, including exhibiting his work at the Takamatsu City Museum of Art in 2021 and speaking at other symposiums. He is working hard to solve the many problems that exist regarding thread, fabric, tools, and behind-the-scenes factories.
