Biography
Born in Kyoto in 1974. Graduated from the Kyoto Design College, Department of Highway Automobiles. While attending furniture making school, he visited a company (where he later worked for a tea ceremony joinery company) and saw a small palm-sized tea box. He was excited to see that such a precise object could be made using natural wood. He decided to become a craftsman who could create such cool objects, and after frequenting the workshop, he embarked on this path. For the past 20 years, he has resolved to continue making joinery for the rest of his life, and has continued to pursue the charm of joinery.
